Lloyd Johnson Manuel better known as Johnny Manuel age 69 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday February 7, 2021 at his home.

Johnny was born in Galax, Virginia on June 1, 1951 to Donald Lee and Imojean Chappell Manuel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jackie Donald Lee Manuel.

He is survived by a daughter Rachel Manuel Byrd;  sisters and brothers-in-law Susie and Curlee Horton of Fairview, North Carolina; Sally and Jimmy Anders of Independence, Virginia; Carolyn and Wayne Roberts of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Carol Manuel of Ridgeway, Virginia; four grandchildren Luke Byrd; Abigail Byrd; Jonathan Byrd and Kasey Byrd; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mask and social distancing will be required for the graveside service.
