Lizzie Faye Stuart age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Stuart was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 7, 1929 to Andy and Cora Byrd Cole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Walter Wroten and Paul Stuart and sons Lewis Wroten and Gwyn Tolbert Wroten.
She is survived by her sons Wiley Scott Wroten and fiance' Ada Crouse; James Bryan (Jay) Wroten; Robert Lee (Pete) Wroten all of Galax, Virginia; step-sons Barry Stuart; Ricky Stuart; Paul Stuart, Jr. and David Stuart all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Marie Jones and Bertha Nunley both of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Alex and Nancy Cole of Pulaski, Virginia; Gene and Rosie Cole; Edd and Roberta Cole all of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law Sue Collins and Pauline Cole both of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Leonard Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery with
Rev. Gale Cole and Rev. Garry Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
