Lisa Spivey
Savage
February 26, 1967 – June 15, 2023
On June 15th Lisa was healed and made new as she went running into the arms of her Jesus. She left behind all the pain and worries of this world. We know she is in heaven today doing all the things her body on earth would not allow her to do. This knowledge gives us peace and joy in our pain.
To know Lisa was to love her. She never met a stranger and always greeted everyone with a contagious smile and a joyful nature. Her sense of humor brought laughter even through the most challenging of times.
Lisa lived and worked with a servant's heart-always thinking of others first. For over 10 years she gave her heart and soul to fulfill her purpose of bringing happiness to the aging individuals in her care at an assisted living facility. They quickly became her family and were embraced with her empathic nature.
Lisa had a big heart for all children. She dedicated over ten years of her life to being a wonderful childcare provider. Lisa made an impact on every child she had the opportunity to keep. But most importantly she left behind three grandchildren who she loved more than life itself. Family time was her favorite time. Lisa raised two strong and beautiful daughters who were her pride and joy.
Lisa is survived by two daughters Bailey Allison of Chilhowie VA, Laken Bourne of Galax VA; two son in laws Jesse Allison and Chance Bourne; three grandchildren Wyatt Allison, Crew and Reece Bourne; her mother Rita Spivey; 2 sisters Kathy Waugh and Denise Johnson; two brother in laws Richard Waugh and Sam Johnson: 4 nieces and nephews Keith Johnson, Chip Johnson, Allison Taylor, Katherine Thaxton; and special friend Gary Felts.
Lisa was proceeded in death by her father, Camet Spivey.
