Linda Lee Richardson Ramey age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday March 17, 2024 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Linda was born on May 27, 1950 in Martinsville, Virginia to Clayton James and Essie Magnora Billings Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Betty Lowe and two brothers James Richardson and Jerry Richardson.

Linda was a joy to be around. She was the life of the party and love to tell jokes. Linda loved to sing. She led the choir at Trinity Baptist Church and spent over 20 years traveling to churches with the group "The Gospel Way". She had a green thumb and always had beautiful flowers all around their home. Springtime was her favorite season because she said that's when everything came to life. Linda loved birds, made sure the bird feeders were always filled, and made sure the hummingbird food was extra sweet because 'that's how they like it". Even through her arthritic pain, she always found a way to laugh and enjoy life and was a blessing to be around.

She is survived by her husband Raymond Gray Ramey; daughter and son-in-law Ann and David Poe all of Galax, Virginia; grandson Cody Poe and Alyssia Luehrs; granddaughter and husband Savannah and Zane Eaton; great granddaughter Madison Poe; brother and sister-in-law Joe and Sharon Richardson of Fries, Virginia; brother-in-law Tony Lowe; special niece Heather Richardson; several nieces and nephews; special pet Mitzi.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Trinity Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Linda may be made to  the Trinity Baptist Church, 141 Shade Tree Lane, Galax, Virginia 24333 .

She will be missed so much!
