Linda Mae "Pat" Cottrell age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home.

Pat was born in Galax, Virginia on July 2, 1947 to Ralph Everett and Lilly Mae McMillan Kyle.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a sister Christine Hampton.

She is survived by her father Everett Kyle of Galax, Virginia; a daughter Melissa Cottrell and special friend Joe Gamble; sons and daughters-in-law Andre' and Melissa Cottrell; Tony and Stephanie Cottrell all of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Anna and Richard Tyree of Prince George, Virginia; Shalva Braxton of Petersburg, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Stanley and Margie Kyle of Ennice, North Carolina; William and Suriffa Kyle of Galax, Virginia; very special grandson Joe Cottrell; very special granddaughter Latasha Cottrell; several other special grandchildren; special great-grandchild Little Nique; loving aunt Irene McMillian; several other loving aunts; special caregiver Peter Ortiz; host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
