Linda Joan Burnett Isom age 72 of Galax, Virginia went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, April 3 at Forsyth Hospital surrounded by her family.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Emmet Ray Isom and her parents William Roy Burnett and Lena Faye Shinault Burnett.

She is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Raye Isom; her five grandchildren Destiny Cheyenne Sizemore Amoakon (Joel), and Leslie Kate Sizemore, Lurae Sauntay Faye Isom-Fenwick, Trent Tucker, Rayelle Tucker and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Anne Burnett Choate (Bobby), and Carolyn Sue Young; two brothers Edward Dean Burnett (Edith) and Richard Paul Burnett (Kaye) all of Galax, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt to all of her family. She was a devoted and loving sister who dedicated her life to Jesus Christ.

A private burial will be held at Monta Vista Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully ask for donations to be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
