Lillie Mae Redd's Obituary
Lillie Mae Redd, 66, passed away Thursday at her home. She was born March 17, 1941 in Carroll County to the late Eli Melton and Nellie Ayers Melton.
Two sons and one daughter-in-law survive her: Donnie R. & Wanda Anders and Danny Redd all of Galax. Five grandchildren: C. J. Anders, Melissa Burcham, Sharon Kinzer, Eric Anders, Tabitha Collins; nine great grandchildren: Kari Lynn Anders, Brandi Anders, Brian Anders, Breanna Collins, Tyler Burcham, Drew Burcham, Robert Anders, Justin Bobbitt, and Emma Padgett; special cousin- Thelma Hoffman. In addition to her parents, Ms. Redd was preceded in death by her son Robert Eugene Anders, Jr., and grandson Warren Travis Anders.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Glade Creek Cemetery in Alleghany County, North Carolina.
