Lillian Louise Payne, 87, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Waddell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Galax, VA. She was born September 20, 1925 in Baltimore, MD to Stuart Hudson and Mae Fuller Hudson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard D. Payne and sister Florence Standiford.

She is survived by step daughter Shirley Emerzian and Julie of Portola Hills, California; step son Timothy Payne and Julie of Toppenish, Washington, sister Dorothy Edwards of Galax; several step grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. Also surviving are special friends Diane Brown and Dana Widner.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Bishops Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Harmon and Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. There will be not visitation at the funeral home.
