Lewis Dwayne Newman also known as Lewis Dale Woodel, Jr. age 27 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Lewis was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 7, 1980 to Lewis Dale & Susan Lineberry Woodel. He is survived by his mother & step-father Susan & Kurt Perdue; father Lewis Dale Woodel; maternal grandmother Ruth Lineberry all of Galax, Va.; paternal grandfather Lewis Warren Woodel of Florida; sister Ashley Sink of Galax, Va.; brothers Joseph Sink of Galax, Va.; Lewis Brad Woodel of Kenston, N.C.; special friend Amy Caldwell of Galax, Va.; children Tori Mahaffey; Emma Mahaffey and Carlee Sisk all of Galax, Va.. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Harold Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
