Lewis Kyle Moretz's Obituary
Lewis Kyle Moretz, 72, passed away Thursday, August 25 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA. Mr. Moretz was born March 19, 1939 in Wythe County, Virginia to Ira F. & Lena Wooten Moretz.
He is survived by his wife Sandra R. Moretz of the home, three daughters & sons-in-law: Sandra Reavis of Mt. Airy, NC; Kathy Tolbert of Galax, VA; Teresa & Terry Lawson of Mt. Airy, NC; two sons & daughters-in-law: Tony & Jenny Moretz of Pfafftown, NC; Terry & Patricia Moretz of Minot, North Dakota; step daughter & son-in-law: Dawn & Ricky Walker of Galax; brother & sister-in-law Larry & Ellen Moretz; brothers-in-law James Dean of Greensboro, NC; Howard Cummings of Zephyr, North Carolina; sister-in-law Cathrene Moretz of Galax. Ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and several nieces & nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Jerusalem Church Cemetery with John Carey, Charles Moretz and Verl Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Vaughan- Guynn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Galax High School Athletic Department, 200 Maroon Tide Dr., Galax, VA 24333.
