Lewis Green Melton age 90 passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Martinsville Health and Rehab Center.

Mr. Melton was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 3, 1930 to Thomas Wade and Thelma Blanche Green Melton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Maude Smith and Dossie Higgins and two brothers Lonnie Melton and Ed Melton.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Wilson Melton; sons and daughter-in-law Richard and Sharon Melton; David Melton all of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren and spouses Jessica and Justin Stamper; Mitchell and Candace Melton all of Galax, Virginia; two great-grandchildren Eli Stamper and Cooper Melton; several nieces and nephews; valued caregivers Michelle; Brittany; Maleah; Pam; Nettie; Janet and Tracy.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
