Lewis Dean Burnette known as Dean Burnette age 89 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Burnette was born in Carroll County, Virginia on July 22, 1930 to Elmer Ray "Pete" and Emma Lundy Burnette.

He is survived by his wife Gladys Dorothy "Peach" Burnette of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter Carol Brown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouse Roman and Tracy Campbell; Katie Brown ; great-grandchild Talon Brown all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law Barbara and Don Bond of Galax, Virginia; Lucille McCoy of Greensboro, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Dallas and Wanda Burnette of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
