Lester William Cox age 78 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday evening at his home. Mr. Cox was born on August 30, 1929 in Ashe County, North Carolina to Bly & Callie Guynn Cox. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Angelia Cox.He is survived by his wife Dorothy Cox of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Audrey & Arthur Kyle, Jr.; Gwendolyn Simmons all of Galax, Va.; Harriet Vanessa & V. Jerry Sales of Mt. Airy, N.C.; foster brother Harold Cox of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; host of relatives & friends. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 1:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Glades Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
