Leonard Marshall Lyons known as Marshall Lyons age 67 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his home. Marshall was born on June 17, 1939 in Galax, Va. to Emmett and Marie Osborne Lyons. In addition to his mother of Galax, Va. he is survived by a brother Virgil Lyons also of Galax, Va.; one niece; two great-nieces; four aunts and one uncle. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church where the body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service with Elder Herbert Rutherford and Elder Doug Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
