Leoda Areminta Jones age 78 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, November 15,2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Jones was born on October 24, 1929 in Smyth County, Va. to Robert Ray & Vergie Harden Stowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry J. Jones. She is survived by daughters & sons-in-law Brenda & Sonny Brady; Cathy & Butch Isom; Barbara & John Farmer; Sharryn & Danny Anders all of Galax, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law James Jones of Woodlawn, Va.; Denny & Angie Jones of Galax, Va.; sisters Ann Snyder & Reba Hutton both of Marion, Va.; brothers Don Stowers of Galax, Va.; Jack Stowers of Marion, Va.; Ray Stowers of Rural Retreat, Va.; Bill Stowers of Pulaski, Va.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 11:00 am in Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill, Pastor D.G. Fox and Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Monta-Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Cliffview Church of God.
