Lena Rose Hancock, age 88, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 in Waddell Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hancock was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 24, 1932 to Charlie and Ethel Jones Frost. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Hancock.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Julie and Clifford Mullins of Woodlawn; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Pam Hancock of Galax; grandchildren Travis Ray and Hope Hancock, Joel and Diany Mullins, Jeremy Mullins, Jonathan and Rachel Mullins; great-grandchildren Eli Mullins, Elena Mullins, and Gideon Kyle Mullins. Also surviving are brother and sister-in-law C.E. and Betty Frost; sister-in-law Clyda Rosenbaum; brother-in-law Bill McRoberts; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Titus Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral service.
