Lena Wilson Edwards age 98 of Independence, Va. passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 in Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Edwards was born on July 7, 1908 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Alonzo & Flora Carpenter Wilson. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Ruth & Joseph Moran of Viera, Florida; son & daughter-in-law Bernie & Margaret Edwards of Fernandina Beach, Florida; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11:00AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Walt Simmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
