Lena Rose Bryson Maxwell,89, of Galax passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Waddell Nursing Home.
She was born August 26, 1926 in Grayson County to the late Rommie and Mary Belle Choate Bryson.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by daughter Viola Brown of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in-law Billy and Wilma Robinson of Galax; daughter-in-law Rev. Mary Sandra Robinson of Galax, Virginia; sister Shirley Sawyers of Augusta, Georgia; brother Connie Bryson of Woodlawn, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the River Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gloria Richardson and Bishop Barry Early officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2016 from 7 PM until 9 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
