Lelia Faye Vass Edwards age 78 of galax, Virginia passed away Thursday December 30, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 3, 1943 to Kelly Elmo and Clara Freda Melton Vass.

She is survived by her husband Frank Edwards of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Shelley Edwards and Chris Goad of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Gregory Franklin and Paige Riddle Edwards of Waynesboro, Virginia; four grandchildren Tori Goad; Cameron Goad; Cullen Edwards and Carson Edwards; sister and brother-in-law Linda Jane and Roger Dale Burcham of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church on Carrollton Pike. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terri Gregory and the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, the Oakland Cemetery or the Mt. Valley Hospice.
