Lela Jean Roten Dixon Robinson age 82 of Woodlawn, Virignia passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina on December 21, 1927 to Millard Fillmore and Verlie Osborne Roten. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willard Garland Robinson; a daughter Jean Reedy and great-granddaughter Santana Marie "Sissy" Miller.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Joanne Pardue of Lexington, N.C., Jeanette & Billy Maines of Sparta, N.C., Teresa & Ricky Greene of Ennice, N.C., Josephine & Scotty Wooten, Jacqueline & Sanford Burnette, Wanda & Billy Newman all of Galax, Va., son James Dixon of Galax, Va., son-in-law Dusty Reedy of Grassy Creek, N.C., sisters Dottie Miller of Statesville, N.C., Gladys Miller of Laurel Springs, N.C., brother Earnest Roten of Statesville, N.C., eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special friends Raymond, Sue and Timmy Jennings.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ronny Harrison and Rev. Jay Nolan officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta, N.C.. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
