Lee Roy "Leroy" McKenzie Jr., age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday August 10, 2019 at his home.  Leroy was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 23, 1937 to the late Lee Roy and Ruby Frazier McKenzie.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn McKenzie; daughters and son-in-law Donna McKenzie and Lucinda and James Carrico; son and daughter-in-law Timmy and Peggy McKenzie; grandchildren Mabel and James Hash, Heather McKenzie, Denton and Lisa McKenzie, Nick Carrico, and Alex Carrico; all of Galax, Virginia. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Audrey Blizzard, Bella Nester, and Jane McKenzie; sisters Agnes McKenzie and Virginia McKenzie; brothers and sister-in-law Garnett and Hazel McKenzie and Jerry McKenzie; all of Galax, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Monday August 12 at 2:00 PM in the McKenzie Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
