Laura Marie Norman age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Norman was born on October 30, 1933 in Grayson County, Virginia to D.D. and Melba Goodson Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Norman and two sisters Hallie Brannock and Jesse South.

Marie and her husband were well known for their travels and playing Old Time music.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Donald and Rhonda Lowe of Maryland; several special nieces and nephews including several great nieces and great nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Matthew Adams and Re. Verl Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Fisher Gaps Cemetery in Low Gap, North Carolina. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
