Laura Jane Baumgardner age 71 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 31,2009 in North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Laura was born on April 22, 1938 in Virginia to Burvia Roy & Annie Blanche Frost Jones.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Baumgardner of Fries, Va.; daughters Janet Dixon Felts of Woodlawn, Va.; Jennifer Bobbitt of Fries, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Virgil James & Cathy Dixon of Galax, Va.; sister Belva Price of Independence, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Clyde & Louise Jones; Edgar & Pauline Jones all of Galax, Va.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Hershel Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
