Lattie Edith Alderman's Obituary
Lattie Edith Smith Alderman age 92 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Alderman was born in Carroll County, Va. on May 27, 1917 to James Monroe & Lillie Ann Burnett Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Alderman.
She is survived by her daughter Bethel Webb of Woodlawn, Va.; son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Marie Newman of Galax, Va.; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother Herman Smith of Eden, N.C.; several nieces & nephews. She is also survived by step-daughters & spouses, Hazel & Bill Turner, Winston Salem, NC and Betty & Delton Hill, Savannah, Texas.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dr. John Dunstan officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Friends may call at the home of Bethel Webb.
