Larry Wesley Swinney, Sr. age 66 of Fries, Virignia passed Tuesday May 22, 2012 at his home.
Larry was born in Carroll County, Virginia on January 23, 1946 to Paul Matthew and Lessie Luvennie Graham Swinney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jewel Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Graham Swinney of Fries, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Lisa and Marty Sharpe of Hanceville, Alabama; Sandra Swinney of Port Deposit, Maryland; sons and daughter-in-law Larry Swinney and Terry Swinney both of Fries, Virginia; James and Michelle Swinney of Galax, Virginia; sister Ella Faye Chriscoe of Fries, Virginia; half-brother Wayne Shupe of Martinsville, Virginia; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 5:00 PM in the Comers Rock Cemetery with Roger Redd officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Kidney Foundation.
