Larry Clyde McBride age 66 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, October 9, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. McBride was born on July 4, 1941 in Carroll County, Va. to Clyde Bishop & Virginia Rose Haynes McBride. In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by a daughter Rosalind Lynette McBride. He is survived by his wife Connie Sue McBride of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Cheryl& Greg Slinker of Knob Lick, Kentucky; Wendy & Shane Harris; Gale & Stephen Bailey; Haley Susanne McBride all of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Gregory & Judith Ford of Statesville, N.C.; David & Cyndi McBride of Hiwassee, Va.; Clyde Pierce McBride & Wesley Clayton McBride both of Galax, Va.; brother William Pierce McBride of Galax, Va.; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece & one nephew. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in McKenzie Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
