Dr. Larry Ray LeGrand, age 71, Roaring Gap, North Carolina and formerly of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, North Carolina.
Dr. LeGrand was born in Granite City, IL to Melvin and Nadine Nolan LeGrand October 7, 1940.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie LeGrand of the home; daughters & sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jerry Reynolds, Galax, VA, Terri LeGrand and Tony Hall, Winston Salem, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Therese LeGrand, Boxholm, Sweden; grandchildren, Anna Cardwell, Drew Cardwell, Grayson Hall, Taylor Hall, Allison LeGrand and Colin LeGrand; great grandchild, Raygan Dills; four brothers Lonny LeGrand; Daniel LeGrand, Ralph LeGrand and Donald LeGrand; two sisters Nancy Walker and Alice Gage; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time for the service Tuesday.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alleghany Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
