Larry Christman Funk, age 78, of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021 in the home of his son in Graham, North Carolina.

Larry was born on April 20, 1943 in Galax, Virginia to the late Edgar Christman and Vergie Cox Funk. He was also preceded in death by his sister Janice Funk and brother Johnny Funk.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Sue Funk of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law John and Michelle Funk of Graham, North Carolina, Tony and Noela Funk of Burlington, North Carolina; five grandchildren Austin, Isaac, Eva, John Thomas, and Joshua; sister and brother-in-law Naomi and Clinton Connor of Stuart, Virginia.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 3:30PM in the Summerfield Cemetery with Dr. Ronny Harrison and Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel from 2:00PM until 3:00PM.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
