Larry Mitchell Carico age 65 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home.

Larry was born in Galax, Virginia on March 14, 1948 to Mitchell and Nina Rutherford Carico.

Larry proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Viet Nam War.

In addition to his mother Nina Carico of Galax, Virginia (the Baywood Community) he is survived by his children and spouses Tammy Carico and Lyle Durrer of Ruckersville Virginia; Shawn Mitchell Carico and Kelly Hill of Fries, Virginia; Kevin Shane and Kristie Hooven of Galax, Virginia (the Coal Creek Community); Trevor Mitchell Carico of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Makenzie Durrer; Ely Durrer; Kaylee Hooven; Cayden Hooven and Wesley Mitchell Carico; sister and brother-in-law Carol and David Moxley of Independence, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Wade and Sue Carico of Hillsville, Virginia; Jerry Carico of Galax, Virginia (the Baywood Community); several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Myron Dalton officiating Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Baywood. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
