Larry Allen Anders age 73 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the New River Valley Medical Center.

Larry was born on June 30, 1942 in Grayson County, Virginia to Elbert Jack and Edith Bond Anders. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Nicky Ray Anders.

He is survived by his wife Wanda C. Anders of Fries, Virginia; son Michael Anthony Anders of Statesville, North Carolina; step-daughter Lisa Gail Hager-Wilcox of Arlington, Virginia; step-sons and spouse Robert Eugene Hager, Jr. and Denise of Charlotte, North Carolina; Keith Russell Hager of Roanoke, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Ralph E. and Sandra Anders of Roanoke, Virginia; Rev. Wayne D. and Rev. Carolyn Anders of Fayetteville, North Carolina; grandchildren Michelle Antionette Anders; Christopher Michael Anders; great-grandson Wesley Waters; step-grandchildren Olivia Jones; Keisha Hager; Ashley Jones; Devon Michael Wilcox; Robert Eugene Hager, III; Briana Wilcox; Kasey Jones and Corey Hager; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga and the Rev. Barry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Wednesday from twelve noon until time for the funeral service at the Grace Baptist Church. Special thanks to our singers Vickie, Roger, Jerri and Louise.
