Lalah Edwards Wolfe age 93 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Wolfe was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on April 14, 1916 to Wiley & Stella Edwards.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband McKinley Fred Wolfe.
She is survived by her daughters Nancy Wolfe of Forest Hills, New York; Gloria Wolfe Benbow & Dean of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; son Wiley P. Wolfe of the home; goddaughter Dr. Dorothy Harrison of Washington, DC; sisters Hazel Edwards Yeoman of Baltimore, Maryland; Essie Smith of Bel Aire, Maryland;sister-in-law: Vandella Anderson; grandchildren and their spouses: Chucky & Missy Brown; Kim & James Lewis; Chauncey & Stephanie Robinson; Trina Robinson and Wendy Robinson; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; host of nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 1:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from seven until nine. Officiating ministers are the Rev. Larry Cutler and Minister Chauncey Robinson.
