Kerry Lee Gillespie age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home.
Kerry was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 13, 1953 to Johnny and Naomi McCraw Gillespie.
In addition to his mother Naomi McCraw Gillespie of Galax, Virginia, Kerry is survived by his wife Cathy Leonard Gillespie of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Brooke Michelle and Jamie Jones of Waynesboro, Virginia; son and special friend Jason Owen Gillespie and Chelsye Harp of Charleston, South Carolina; granddaughter Kadence Nicole Jones; sisters and brother-in-law Kathy Kay McCraw of Cleveland, Tennessee; Karen and Johnny Carico of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Kim Owen and Lara Gillespie of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ray Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery on Gillespie Lane. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Cliffview Church of God.
