Kern McCoy Gravley, age 69, of Galax, VA passed away Friday December 8 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ethel Mae Gravely, one daughter & son-in-law: Pam and Bob White of Pulaski; two sons & daughters-in-law: Kern, Jr. & Kathy Gravely and Mark & Melissa Gravely all of Galax; two sisters: Lucille Bonds of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Kat Powers of Tennessee; two brothers: Baker Gravely of Galax and Laythan Gravely of Pulaski, seven Grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse J. & Maggie Jane Viars Gravely, six sisters, and one brother.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7PM until 9 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 Am in the Vaughn-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Mike Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Felts Cemetery in Galax.
