Kermit Douglas age 86 of Salem, Virginia went to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2010.
He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during WWII and retired from Eaton Corp. as Foreman of the Quality Control Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Leona Ward Douglas and a son Gary Douglas.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Peggy J. Douglas; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Mike Turner; granddaughters Lauren Douglas, Erin Turner and Michele Turner; great-granddaughter Alexis Turner, daughter-in-law Renee Douglas.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ken Nienke and Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.. The family will receive friends Wednesday from eleven until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
