Kenneth Joe Kennedy age 55 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Kenneth was born on September 18, 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Jack and Emma Jean Davis Kennedy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jackie Edward Kennedy.
He is survived by his wife Ella Marie Kennedy of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law April and Mark Doane of Burlington, North Carolina; sons and their fiancées Jason Kennedy and Ashley Fackrell; Michael Kenneth Kennedy and Leslie Jones all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Diane Sturgill of Pulaski, Virginia; Juanita Robinson of Charlotte, North Carolina; Heidi Edmonds of Galax, Virginia; Lisa Campbell of Hillsville, Virginia; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 12:30 PM in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM until twelve noon at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
