Kenneth Roy Holderfield, 60, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at his home in Galax. Mr. Holderfield was born March 8, 1953 in Mount Airy, North Carolina to Roy and Mallie Holderfield. In addition to his father Roy , he was preceded in death by his brother Roger Holderfield.

He is survived by a daughter Amanda Brewer of Galax; granddaughter Kylie Brewer ; mother Mallie Holderfield of Galax, Virginia; two sisters and brother-in-law: Joyce Hudson and Donnie of Ennice, North Carolina and Gerri Quesenberry of Galax, Virginia and his ex-wife Teresa Holderfield of Galax. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Sam Holder and the Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until time for the service. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
