Kenley Hackler Hancock, better known as Kenny, age 83, of Fries, VA passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Independence, VA.
Mr. Hancock was born April 8, 1925 in the Brush Creek Section of Grayson County, Virginia to Burrel & Ida Linville Hancock.
He is survived by his wife Eunice Josephine Hancock of the home, daughter Shirley Anne Hancock of Charlottesville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law: Jerry Frank and Sharon Hancock of Polk City, Florida; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Kyle & Lena Hancock of Galax, and Lonnie & Colleen Hancock of Pulaski. Also surviving 1 grandson, 1 great grandson, 3 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren,several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening (January 6th) at the church from 6 until 8 o'clock.
