Keith Alexander Edwards age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 14,2009 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Edwards was born on July 27, 1929 in Carroll County, Va. to Edgar John & Nellie Pearl Burcham Edwards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Wayne Edwards and grandson Joe Edwards.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Edwards; son Melvin Edwards; daughter-in-law Shirley Edwards all of Galax, Va.; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; sisters Ruby Tuttle of Walnut Cove, N.C.; Opal Walters of Galax, Va.; Gail Edwards of Mt. Airy, N.C.; brothers Lionel Edwards; Lonnie Edwards; Reece Edwards all of Galax, Va.; Vincent Edwards of Culpepper, Va.; Neal Edwards of Martinsville, Va.; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Blue Ridge Chapel Church with Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family request no food please.
