Kay Frances Funk Newman age 83 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday January 31, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Newman was born in Grayson County, Virginia on July 21, 1938

to Dan Harding and Ethel Mae Hill Funk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Newman.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Charlotte and Ricky Willard; Deborah and Rodney Bobbitt; son Danny Newman; brother Harold Funk all of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Shane and Megan Boyer of Fries, Virginia; Allen and Heather Bobbitt; Jared Padgett all of Galax, Virginia; great-grandchildren; Hayley Bobbitt; Arilyn Padgett; Wyatt Padgett and James Daniel Boyer; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Greg Carico officiating. There will be no Visitation.
