Katy Lee Moxley Rector, 85 years old of Galax, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Basil Rector.

Mrs. Rector was born May 11, 1929 in Independence, Virginia to the late Morris S .Moxley and Ellen Warden Moxley.

She is survived by her 7 children: Judy and Roger Combs of Fairlawn, Virginia; Louellen and Jim Sharp of Floyd, Virginia; Thomas Rector and Chris Geyer of Belleville, Illinois; Lennie and Linda Rector of Mt Pleasant, North Carolina; Jackie and Charles Kirk of Raleigh, North Carolina; James Rector of the home place; Rhonda and Jeff James of Galax, Virginia. She is also survived by one brother Odell Moxley of Independence, Virginia, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev .Bob Adams officiating.
Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM Friday until service time at the funeral home.
