Kathy Mae Thompson, age 63, of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday January 2, 2020 at her home.

Ms. Thompson was born in Galax, Virginia on January 26, 1956 to Lester and Cynthia Wampler Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Connie Price, Carolyn Brewer, Diane Moxley, Linda Hatcher, and Mary Ruth Howard.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Leonard, Carrie Price, and Charity Passmore all of Galax; son Mark Eastridge of Galax; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sandy Price of Baywood; and sister Teresa Byrd of Galax. Also surviving are grandchildren Jacob Brown, Jonah Brown, Joshua Brown, Zachary Bevins, Khya Bautista, Samuel Ramos, Hannah Ramos, Bernardo Bautista, Lucian Leonard, and Christopher del Valle.

The graveside service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Fairview Church Cemetery with Doug Fleming officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
