Kathy Lou Taylor

Kathy Lou Taylor, 76, passed away July 4, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born November 14, 1949 to the late Harry and Betty Whitaker Funk in Grayson County, Virginia.

She is survived by her husband Dennis W. Taylor of Ivanhoe; daughters and sons-in-law: Regina and Danny Irvin of Galax: Christie and Kevin Odle of Bluefield, West Virginia; grandchildren Krista Odle, Emily Odle, Carissa Lineberry, Aiden Lineberry; sisters and brothers -in-law Ellen and Wilburn Bilbrey; Delinda Funk and Nelson Petty all of Fries; beloved aunt and uncles Wanda and Jimmy Suggs of Stokesdale, NC and Billy Funk of Fries. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Marty Stallard officiating. Burial to follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, Fries, Virginia. The family will receive friend from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.
