Kathy Ramirez Caviness age 53 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018.

Kathy was born in Hampton, Virginia on July 29, 1964 to Homer Jackson Caviness, Sr. and Betty Lovelane Martin Caviness.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Jessica and Adam Carico; Winoki Hunt and Clifton Phillips all of Hillsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Jonathan Allen Caviness and Melissa Jean Burcham of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Frances and Abel Ruiz of Garner, North Carolina; brothers and sister-in-law Jr. and Lisa Caviness of Lewisburg, North Carolina; Delbert Caviness of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Dean and Libby Caviness of Nashville, North Carolina; grandchildren Kameron Burcham; Emma Caviness; Kenlynne Hunt and Elijah Carico; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
