Kathleen Blanche Jennings Lawson age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the Woltz Hospice Home.
Mrs. Lawson was born on August 16, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to Riley and Blanche Robinson Jennings. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Lawson.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Tammy Lawson; Jerry and Marie Lawson all of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter TaNeshia Akers; great-grandson Taevyn Akers; several nieces and nephews; special friends Eugene and Brenda Lundy.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017 or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
