Kathleen Edna Gatchel's Obituary
Kathleen Edna Gatchel, 71, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 in the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born Saturday, March 29, 1941 in Illinois to the late Ralph F. Gatchel, Sr. and Edna Louise Harmer Gatchel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Ralph F. Gatchel, Jr.
She is survived by sister-in-law Rebecca W. Gatchel; nieces and their spouses: Katherine Lily Burcham and Kevin of Galax; Ann Margaret Utt and Shawn of Pulaski, Virginia; Mary Stuart Cheeks and Bobby of Independence, Virginia; a nephew Eric Gatchel of Galax. Two great nieces and two great nephews also survive. There will be no services at this time.
Contributions may be made in Ms. Gatchel's memory to the Galax Volunteer Fire Department, 300 West Grayson Street, Galax, VA 24333
