Kathleen Mae Brackins' Obituary
Kathleen Mae Cole Brackins age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Brackins was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April 12, 1925 to Orville Johnson and Lilly Daisy Fortner Cole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Francis Brackins.
She is survived by two cousins Kim Carico Dunn and husband Jackie of Lexington, North Carolina; Jennifer Burkhart of Clemmons, North Carolina; her cherished friend Lucille Rippey and her beloved pet, Angie.
The service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Monta Vista Mausoleum with the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Twin County Humane Society, P.O. Box 125 Hillsville, Virginia 24343.
