Kathleen Vaughan Boyd age 77 of Clemmons, North Carolina passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 in the Regency Health Care in Clemmons.
Mrs. Boyd was born on September 8, 1933 in Grayson County, Virginia to Samuel Floyd and Ollie Mae King Bise.
She is survived by her husband Richard Boyd of Clemmons, N.C.; daughters and sons-in-law Patty and Sammy Dillow of Independence, Va.; Jackie Stroupe and David Hopkins of Winston-Salem, N.C.; son Greg Vaughan of Fries, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law Aileen Turney of Martinsville, Va.; Linda Faulkner; Evelyn and Vivian Shupe; Margaret and George Vance of Fries, Virginia; Rita Hines of Lenoir, N.C.; Mary Bond of Woodlawn, Va.; twelve grandchildlren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six step children and twelve step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Lee Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
