Kathie Jean Leonard age 53 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at her home.
Kathie was born in Germany on April 20, 1962 to Raymond and Eva Hawthorne Moseley.
In addition to her mother Eva Williams of Rural Retreat, Virginia she is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Brittany and Jared Colt Heatherly; Ashley N. Leonard all of Galax, Virginia; son Christopher D. Leonard of Woodlawn, Virginia; father of the children Daniel Martin Leonard of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Teresa and Arville Bentley of Rural Retreat, Virginia; Monika and Kenny Bentley of Wytheville, Virginia; Tonja and Brian Fore of Florence, South Carolina; four grandchildren Chloe B. Leonard; Wessley J. Leonard; Taylor C. Heatherly and Natalie M. Heatherly.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 5:30 PM in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Sam Bartlett and the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
