Kathern Elizabeth Dye age 80 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Ms. Dye was born on July 31, 1931 in Grayson County, Virginia to Acy Lee and Mary Bourne Akers.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Sue and Tom Watson of Galax, Virginia; Kathy Faucett of Indiana; Debbie Avey of Fries, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Susie Dye of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Bobby Dye of Fries, Virginia; Wavern and Ella Dye of the Baywood community; Steve and Karen Dye of Galax, Virginia; Jerry Dye of Indiana; sisters and brothers-in-law Juanita and Jimmy Sawyers; Ann and Bob Chappell; Evelyn and Wayne Carico all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Buddy and Nancy Akers of Fries, Virginia; J.E. and Violet Akers of Galax, Virginia; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Patricia English.
The funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Faye Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until time for the service at the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church.
