Katherine Elizabeth Felts age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Felts was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 16, 1933 to William and Matilda Wooten White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Early Felts, son Michael Felts, and daughter Sandra Felts.
She is survived by two grandchildren Elizabeth Jennings of Galax, Virginia; Emmy Stone of Lexington, North Carolina; sisters Betty Huyser of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Pauline Frye of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; brothers John White of Manassas, Virginia; Roger White of Martinsville, Virginia; Charles White of Greenville, South Carolina; two four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Frank Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Baptist Church Cemetery at Fancy Gap. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 pm until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
